A historic meeting took place today at the FIVB headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland. Fabio Azevedo, the President of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), received Karen Asmaryan, President of the Volleyball Federation of Armenia (VFA), and Khachatur Asmaryan, member of the VFA Presidium.
Key discussions centered on the launch of new FIVB Volleyball Empowerment projects and the prospects of establishing a dedicated Beach Volleyball Center in Armenia.
The highlight of the meeting was an agreement to host either the U17 or U19 Beach Volleyball World Championship in Armenia in the near future. President Fabio Azevedo pledged full FIVB support for the organization of this prestigious tournament. Furthermore, an agreement was reached for Mr. Azevedo to conduct an official visit to Armenia soon.
